Children under 30 kg(66 lbs): one capsule a day for 3 months. Thereafter, 1 capsule per day for 15 days each month

MECHANISM of ALLERGIES, ITCH, HIVES
When mast cells are activated - by variety of mechanisms, like the binding of their membranes to immunoglobulin E
(IgE) and exposure of mast cell to an antigen - a series of enzymatic reactions occur in the cells. They include a phase
that requires energy, ending with mast cell degradation and the release of preformed or newly synthesized mediators.
Preformed mediators, which are stored in the granules of mastcells, include histamine. It causes smooth muscle
contraction and itching, promotes venular permeability and increases airway resistance. Other mediators not stored
are composed by activation of mast cells. They have ability to alter venular permeability and contract smooth muscle in
various organs. They are SRS-A (slow-reacting substance of anaphylaxis, a slow-reacting substance of anaphylaxis)
and PAF (platelet activating factor (s), platelet aggregation factor (s).
Riboflavin and Niacinamide play a critical role in mast cell metabolism and work as coenzymes. Their deficiency
negatively affects the energy production phase within mast cells. This deficiency lowers the energy potential of mast cells,
which normally leads to their correct activation, and causes the uncontrolled release of neurotransmitters and
biochemical mediators. They, then, are at beginning of diseases with a recognized reactive (allergic) genesis.
Rhodiola rosea is one of most powerful natural antioxidants known and has extraordinary activities against free
radicals. Its action is expressed in an effective stabilizing action on cell membranes and a correct development of
reactions of tissue breating, supporting the action of previous coenzymes.
Calendula officinalis, finally, contains flavonoids which have an effective anti-inflammatory activity and
normalizing blood microcirculation. Mast cells are corpuscles located in capillary and venular districts of the whole
organism in number of 7,000-12,000 per cubic millimeter. Their number and widespread localization explains why
when an allergic reaction is triggered, it can also lead to anaphylactic shock.
